Wine Report was last night at the launch of the Grenadiers Xumek cellar wines, held in Granderos to Horse Regiment.
In a festive frame Grenadiers were tasted Tinto 50% Malbec and 50% Syrah vintage 2009 with 14.5 alcohol. He is a young fresh fruity wine with refreshing acidity, with great presence of red fruits and spice with everything giving a sanjuanino Syrah. The degree of complexity is provided by 15% of the wine has a light oak aging. It is easy to drink, balanced, sweet tannins and fruity finish.
The White Grenadiers is a blend of 50% Chardonnay 50% Viognier, also 2009, with an alcohol of 13.5. Is fresh fruitiness with notes of tropical fruits, flowers and fresh grass also has a toasty note. It's fresh, ideal to accompany any salad, sushi, fish or drink alone.
The event was led by Ezequiel Eskenazi, Hannibal attended Marengo, the manager of the winery and winemaker Daniel Ekkert personalities in the wine world.
A memorable event as it was emotional dedicate the Grenadiers came to the words of appreciation to General San Martin by Ezequiel Eskenazi, the band played marches including Avenida de Las Camelias, my favorite.
An excellent presentation, with good company, good music, good wine and good food. The finishing touch put the Grenadiers parade in their horses.
A presentation that will remain in my memory forever.
Thank Hannibal Marengo invitation and wish you good luck with these blends surely were positioned well in the market.
